This Byway links with Bridleways 20 and 17.
The Byway starts at the Shute Road, at ‘Little Park’, and proceeds south along clearly defined lane of a hard stone surface to the junction with Bridleway 20 and continues left along boggy lane to Springhead.

This lane starts at the A35. Be very careful crossing the road opposite Hillcrest (The Hill) at the top bus stop. The first halt of the path is a hard stone surface to Cowley House and proceeds past an upright pole along a natural path (often wet) to Coryton Lane.
A short path from Brookiands Farm Close, (The Street) to Hurfords Stores (Whitford Road).
Starting at the Whitford Road, at the Quarry entrance, the path proceeds downhill in a south easterly direction turning south at the Sewerage Works, passing through a gate to a field on the right at the end of the lane.
The route follows the hedge in the field to the north bank of the River Axe where it terminates. Return by the same route.
NB. Don’t be tempted to stray off the route to the Quarry where there are deep pools and unsafe ground and always listen tor the lorries that use the route.
