Vicar mixes with royalty at party
The Vicar of Dalwood, Kilmington, Shute, Stockland and Yarcombe, the Reverend Nigel Freathy and his wife, Annette, were guests at the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on July 10th.
They were able to enjoy the Palace gardens, have tea, listen to the military bands, admire the fashions and above all see at close quarters the Queen, Prince Philip, The Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke of Kent, Prince Edward and Princess Alexandra.
Rev Freathy commented: "I have no idea how we came to be invited but it was a very great thrill to be able to go and it was certainly one of the most memorable occasions of our lives."
