POPPY APPEAL, KILMINGTON
House to House collections for the Poppy Appeal are authorised to start from Saturday 27th October until Saturday 10th of November, and the Branch collectors will be distributing envelopes to all residences in the Village and calling to collect them later. Your generous support is requested to enable the Royal British Legion to help the thousands of deserving cases among our Service personnel and their dependants who are not well cared for by the Government. Many will have heard about the excellent work that the Legion is doing in highlighting the plight of our young men and women killed and injured in Iraq and Afghanistan which has so badly affected their families.
A Coffee Morning for the Poppy Appeal collectors will be held at The Cider Orchard on Wednesday 17th October at 10.30 am where the poppy trays etc can be collected.
