REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY IN KILMINGTON
The Royal British Legion Remembrance Sunday Service will be held in St Giles' Church this year starting at 9.45 am on 11 November conducted jointly by the Rev'd Nigel Freathy and the Rev'd Lincoln Jones, Chaplain to the Kilmington Branch. The Rev'd Mike Hornsby, the local Baptist Moderator, will give the Address. The collection will be donated to the Poppy Appeal. A short Service at the War Memorial starting at 10.55 am will be taken by the Branch Chaplain when Armistice Day will be commemorated by the firing of maroons and the Two Minutes Silence. Everyone has been invited to take refreshments at the Baptist Chapel afterwards. Your presence is requested to honour the memory of those killed in the two World Wars, particularly Kilmington residents, and those Service personnel since who have given their lives most recently in Iraq and Afghanistan.
