CANCER RESEARCH UK HOUSE TO HOUSE COLLECTION SEPTEMBER 2007
On behalf of the Axminster Branch I wish to thank all who gave so generously and all the collectors who collected £887.87 in Kilmington. The total raised in the area was £1556.85.
Your great generosity helps Cancer Research UK to continue pioneering research into improving survival rates in cancer patients, to develop screening programmes for cancer, saving thousands of lives, to lead research into patient-doctor communications through training courses to improve the counselling skills of doctors.
At the local level, Cancer Research UK is funding trials, in Exeter, to find new treatments for glioma, a type of brain tumour and new drugs to stop lung cancer cells from growing.
I know that you appreciate the work carried out by Cancer Research UK and will continue to support this charity in the future.

Thank you.
