Kilmington Web Site/Family History
Firstly many congratulations on the village site. It really gives a great introduction to the village, and is without doubt the most " user-friendly" site of its kind that we have found,
I wonder if it would be possible for you to advise me on a family history question relating to Kilmington.
Thomas Snell ( my great x 5 grandfather), born in Colyton in 1715, married Amey Hooper in Kilmington in 1736.
They raised their family in the village, including Robert Snell ( my great x 4 grandfather) who married Sarah Quick in 1767 in Combpyne, where they then raised their family.
I am trying to contact anyone who might have any further information on these families, and would be most grateful for any suggestions you may have.
